HOW IT STARTED:

Alysa’s figure skater dream began when she entered a competition in 2015 and placed at 7th place at the Central Pacific Regionals. By 2016, she became the youngest female skater  to earn the intermediate gold medal at the US championships in which she won by less than a point.

HOW IT’S GOING:

Today, Alysa no longer does figure skating. She retired her figure skater dream  as of April 2022 after competing in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. While, Liu was the youngest of Team USA’s women’s single skaters and the youngest woman to win the U.S. national senior title at age 13 in 2019, she explained that she felt as if she’d already achieved all her goals as a figure skater and believes that it’s time to move on to the next chapter in her life.
