HOW IT STARTED:  

Climate Justice activist Xiye Bastida , first went viral after delivering the Leaders Summit Speech. 

HOW IT’S GOING:

Bastida continues to advocate for climate justice while being an undergraduate college student at the University of Pennsylvania. She has addressed dozens of world leaders at conferences and summits all over the world and worked with many groups demanding a call to action on climate change. She’s one of the major organizers of “Fridays for Future New York City” and stands up for indigenous and immigrant visibility in climate activism.
